Creating Contact-Us Page

Prerequisites

At this point, you should already have a host provider and domain name. If not, please go back to first page.

At this point, you should already have selected and installed WordPress. If not, please go back to second page.

At this point, you should already have created a Home page. If not, please go back to third page.

Creating Contact Form

From WordPress Dashboard

From Dashboard

> Contact > Contact Forms > type "Contact Form" > Select "Mail" tab > type in "[your-recipient]" beside "To".

The first line beside "Message Body" should be: "From: [your-name] [your-email] <[your-phone]>".

Select the "Form" tab and modify the area to reflect:

"Save" your changes.

Where it reads: "Copy this shortcode and paste it into your post, page, or text widget content:" copy the following line of code, which should look like "[contact-form-7 id="xx" title="Contact Form"]".

Create Contact-Us Page

Go to WordPress Dashboard

You should now be able click the link to the "Contact-Us" page and send an e-mail to the church office manager.

While in the WordPress Dashboard

While in the WordPress Dashboard select "Pages" > select "All Pages" select "Contact-Us" page after the "1 Column" row was created, > pull-down "Row Layouts" and drag "3 Column" below where the 1 Column exist. Pull-down "Basic Modules" > drag "Text Editor" over to the first of 3 columns > select "Text" tab > paste in the text > select "Save".
